Notice of Construction, River Road

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION: Rural Road Resurfacing

Haldimand County’s Rural Road Resurfacing Program is underway with River Road from Broad Street to Hwy 3, Cayuga, starting September 3rd. Work will begin at Hwy 3 and move north.

The Contractor will be mobilizing and setting up signs in the days leading up to these repairs and the project is expected to be complete by November 2024. Occasional daily road closures may be required with local traffic only being permitted during this time. After the completion of the road resurfacing the driveways and mailboxes will be adjusted to match the road surface if required.

Staff understand that construction may cause temporary headaches to residents and business owners and ask that all affected individuals remain patient. The end goal of all construction work is to enhance our neighbourhoods and communities and the County is committed to minimizing disruption by communicating construction information in a timely manner and responding to resident needs/concerns.
