Public Meeting: Options for the future of Cheapside Community Hall property (November 26)

Ward 1 Councillor Stewart Patterson, together with Mayor Shelley Ann Bentley, are inviting residents to attend a community meeting to discuss options for the future of the Cheapside Community Hall property. The meeting is to be held at the Fisherville Lions Community Centre on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In May 2024, a public meeting was held at the Cheapside Hall, during which structural and safety challenges of the hall were considered. The hall has since remained closed to the public and will remain so until further notice. 

Councillor Patterson, together with the Mayor, wish to hear from residents regarding their thoughts on the future of the site. This feedback will be collected by staff – who will be in attendance at the meeting as well – and used to inform the development of various options for future consideration by Council.
