Low-Level Flooding

Haldimand County Emergency Services are actively monitoring the water conditions related to the flood warning issued on Friday, April 04, 2025.

As of 10:30 a.m., there is flooding in multiple low-lying areas along the watershed, and specific roadways have been affected:

Caledonia

• Fofar Street East from Argyle Street South to Berwick Street
• Berwick Street from Fofar Street East to Renfrew Street East
• River Drive off of Highway 54, just East of Caledonia

Cayuga

• Ouse Street at Chippawa Street West

Please exercise extreme caution around all local waterways. Banks adjacent to rivers and creeks are very slippery and pose a serious hazard when combined with cold, fast-moving water. Parents are reminded to keep their children and pets away from all watercourses. Recreational users near local waterways should be aware of the current conditions and exercise additional caution.
