Let the Good Times Unroll: Mummy unwrapping event at Edinburgh Square Heritage & Culture Centre
On Thursday, May 8, the Edinburgh Square Heritage & Culture Centre invites everyone to enter the world of Egyptomania with "Let the Good Times Unroll," featuring an authentic mummy unwrapping.
Participants will join Dr. Eugenia Mooney as she slowly removes the wrappings from her ancient specimen, travelling back in time to ancient Egypt. With a blend of excitement and intrigue, Dr. Mooney will explain ancient curses, sacrificial animals, secret rituals and the mummification process.
"Let the Good Times Unroll" will take place at Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre on Thursday, May 8, starting promptly at 7 p.m. The Centre is located at 80 Caithness Street East, Caledonia.
Suitable for ages 13 and up, the presentation costs $25 per person and includes light refreshments. Registration can be completed online or in person at the Haldimand County Administration Building, 53 Throburn Street South.
Filming of the performance is strictly prohibited unless prior written permission has been obtained. However, photographs and a chance to speak with Dr. Mooney will be available following the presentation.
