Haldimand seeking resident feedback on Strategic Plan
Haldimand County is looking for public feedback to help develop its Strategic Plan. Residents are invited to attend a community open house on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 to learn more about the Plan and provide input.
Open houses will take place in the Haldimand County Administration Building lobby (53 Thorburn St. S, Cayuga) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the CAO and members of the Senior Management Team and discuss key themes and priorities.
“The Haldimand County Strategic Plan will serve as our official roadmap to the future as a growing, rural community and local government administration. It will define our vision for the years ahead and outline themes, priorities, goals and actions that will enable our vision to become a reality,” said Chief Administrative Officer Cathy Case. “It’s critical that residents play a part in shaping their community and we are strongly encouraging people to participate in the process and share ideas,” Case added.
As a strategic document designed to serve the community and guide Council and staff decision-making, the Plan will solidify the vision for Haldimand and clearly define both short and long-term priorities. It will inform policy, operational decisions and resource allocations, providing a framework for the oversight and management of service delivery.
Once public consultation has concluded, the Plan will be finalized and brought forward to Council for review and approval.
Materials presented at the January 28, 2025 open house sessions will be made available on the website at www.haldimandcounty.ca/strategicplan. Residents who are unable to attend an in-person open house may review materials and submit comments regarding the Plan using the online feedback form.
Updates regarding the planning process will be posted on the Strategic Plan web page and shared through Haldimand’s social media channels.
