Haldimand employers invited to participate in job fair

Following the success of the 2024 Job Fair, SOAR Community Services will host a second Job Fair on April 24, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Caledonia Fairgrounds, 151 Caithness Street East, Caledonia. The event is a collaboration between SOAR Community Services and the Haldimand County Business Development and Planning Advisory Committee, with assistance from Haldimand's Economic Development and Tourism Division and the Grand Erie Business Centre.

Employers of various industries are invited to participate in this event. This Job Fair will serve as a platform for businesses to showcase their career opportunities, engage with active job seekers, and build relationships with the local workforce.

Interested employers are encouraged to register by April 3 to secure their spot. For more information about registration, booth setup, and event details, contact SOAR Community Services, Caledonia Employment Office at 289-285-0133 or visit their website to register your business.

“This Job Fair is designed to facilitate meaningful connections between employers and job seekers, and participating in this event serves as a great opportunity for both parties. Local businesses can benefit from engaging with qualified candidates, promoting their company’s brand and culture to a new audience, and building relationships with potential future employees and other industry professionals,” shared Lidy Romanuk, Manager of Haldimand County Economic Development and Tourism. “For job seekers, this event exhibits what kinds of opportunities are available right in their own backyards, and provides an avenue to directly network with local companies, which has previously been unavailable.”

After last year’s success, it should be evident to both employers and job seekers that this event can connect them to the right employees and best careers,” expressed Paul Makey, Chair of the Haldimand County Business Development and Planning Advisory Committee.  “It can only ensure further growth of our businesses in Haldimand County, creating a stronger and more vibrant economic community, which will benefit everyone. It is the best opportunity to connect the large skilled workforce we have to the growing successful businesses of Haldimand County."

“We were pleased with the resounding success of the Fall Job Fair, and felt that it was important to build on this momentum and host an even larger and more impactful event,” added Tauri Caputo, General Manager of the Grand Erie Business Centre. “Employers can anticipate an expanded pool of highly qualified candidates, while job seekers can expect an even greater variety of potential career paths to explore.”.

“Spring is the season of new beginnings, and there’s no better time to start your career journey! Explore a wide range of exciting job opportunities at the Haldimand Job Fair, and take the next step toward your future career!” exclaimed Lana Heath, Manager of Haldimand Employment Services, SOAR Community Services.
