Haldimand County no longer accepting post-dated cheques for property tax payment

As of January 1st, 2025, Haldimand County will no longer accept post-dated cheques for property tax payments.

There are still plenty of ways to make payments, either at the office, from home or at the bank:

• cash, debit, current dated cheque, bank draft, or money order at the Haldimand County Administration Building
• in-person at all major financial institutions
• through online banking
• online credit card payment (processing fee applies)

We encourage residents to take advantage of our pre-authorized payment plans. Your quarterly installments can be withdrawn automatically, eliminating the need to keep track of due dates. We also offer a monthly payment option. Visit our Property Tax page to learn more about our payment options.
