Haldimand County Business Symposium to feature guest speaker Brock Dickinson

Haldimand County is hosting its annual Haldimand Business Symposium on Thursday, May 1, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Haldimand County Administration Building, 53 Thorburn Street South. Presented by the Mayor, Council, and the Economic Development and Tourism division, this free networking event will feature guest speaker Brock Dickinson, Director of the University of Waterloo's Economic Development Program. 

Drawing on his 25 years of experience in economic development, Brock's presentation, titled "It's the End of the World as We Know It (and I feel fine)," will explore the sometimes unsettling world of tomorrow, what it holds for businesses and communities, and how to be positioned for success. This session promises to surprise, alarm and enlighten, with a few laughs along the way.

This event is an opportunity for Haldimand County to thank our local businesses for all they do to make Haldimand County a great place to live and work.”

The event is open to local business owners and organizations, and representatives from Haldimand Chambers of Commerce and Business Improvement Areas. There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required, and recommended no later than April 18 to secure a seat. Register online at events.haldimandcounty.ca.
