Emergency Preparedness Week Open House - May 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Haldimand County Emergency Services will be hosting an Open House for Emergency Preparedness Week on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to meet our first responders in the Haldimand County Administration Building parking lot, located at 53 Thorburn Street South, Cayuga.

Representatives from the Ontario Provincial Police will also be on site, joining Haldimand firefighters, paramedics, and K9 units. The public is encouraged to ask questions and find inspiration for keeping themselves and their communities safe with this year’s theme, “Be Prepared, Know Your Risks.”

Event-goers will have the opportunity to tour emergency services vehicles, pet one of the Community Paramedics' K9 dogs, and enter a draw for a chance to win a 72-hour emergency kit -- all while learning more about emergency preparedness in Haldimand County. The event will also feature a Kid Zone, which includes colouring, hopscotch, and a scavenger hunt.
