2024 Holiday Closure Notice

Happy holidays from all of us at Haldimand County!

The Haldimand County Administration Building will be closed for the holidays from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, until Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Garbage and recycling collection

• Wednesday, December 25 – Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday, December 26, Thursday's collection will occur on Friday, January 27 and Friday's will occur Saturday, December 28.
•  Wednesday, January 1 – Wednesday's collection will occur on Thursday, January 2, Thursday collection on Friday, January 3, and Friday collection on Saturday, January 4. 

Libraries

• Tuesday, December 24 - Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville, Hagersville and Selkirk Branches: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Jarvis Branch CLOSED.
• Wednesday, December 25 - All branches CLOSED.
• Thursday, December 26 -  All branches CLOSED.
• Tuesday, December 31 - Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville, Hagersville and Selkirk Branches: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Jarvis Branch CLOSED.
• Wednesday, January 1 - All branches CLOSED.

Museums

• Heritage Centre - open during Cayuga Library hours, archives closed from December 25 to January 3, inclusive. 
• Edinburgh Square is closed until April 2025 for window replacements & Wilson MacDonald Memorial School Museum are currently closed for the season, re-opening February 24.

Provincial Offences & Court Administration

If you require an extension to pay an outstanding fine, please submit an application to the P.O.A. administration office no later than December 18th, 2024, to ensure it is processed before the holidays. 

The office will be closed from 3 p.m. on December 24 until January 2, 2025.

Rentals

• The last day to request holiday ice rentals (between December 24 and January 7) is December 18, 2024.

Canborough Waste Management Facility

• Closed Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1.
