Admissions

You can get started on the application process for our home through the Greater Hamilton Health Network (GHHN). This organization determines eligibility and admission priority and manages the waiting list for Grandview Lodge.

When a bed becomes available, Home and Community Care Support Services will contact you to accept within a given timeline. If the offer is declined, you are taken off the waitlist and must start the process again.

Accommodations

We offer 128 beds across four home areas: Bridgeview, Creekview, Hillview and Marshview.

Each home area includes:

• 32 total beds (28 basic rooms and 4 private rooms)
• Garden area

All rooms include:

Bed and side chair

• Built-in armoire
• Bedside table with lockable drawer
• Memory box showcase in the hall
• Cable/internet access ($)
• Phone services ($)

Basic room

These rooms are shared by two residents and offer a window view and wheelchair-accessible bathroom. The bathroom is 52 sq ft. Basic rooms are 130 square feet of bedroom space on either side of the room and 56 sq ft. of shared entrance space.

Private room

These rooms are located at the end of each home area and have a large floor space, two windows, private ensuite bathroom, and a sitting area. Private rooms are 228 sq ft. of bedroom, entrance and bathroom space.

Tours

Tours are available Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
