Hazardous Waste and Diversion Programs
Haldimand residents can dispose of household hazardous waste and special products safely and free of charge at the four drop-off events held throughout the year. Electronic waste such as computers, printers, cell phones, cameras, etc. are also accepted at these events.

Small electronics
You can drop off any electronics that are 20x20 inches in size or smaller at the Jarvis Library (2 Monson Street) during regular library hours.
Christmas tree recycling
Temporary Christmas tree depots will be available from December 26, 2024, to January 10, 2025. Trees will be chipped and turned into mulch. Please remember to remove all tinsel and decorations before dropping them off.
Artificial trees are not accepted.

- Townsend – Dead end of Forest Park Drive
Trees can also be dropped off at the Canborough Waste Transfer Station at 499 James Rd., Dunnville.
Used sharps and expired medication
You can return unused or expired medications and used sharps at your local participating pharmacy. Contact your pharmacy to confirm.
