Recognition Night

Every year, we host a recognition night for the dedicated groups and individuals who enrich our community through their volunteer efforts. Any individual, not-for-profit group, or organization may submit a nomination on behalf of another or themselves.

The 2024 Recognition Night was held on October 17. See the list of winners below.

Nominations for 2025 open in June.

Nomination process

  1. Nomination forms must be completed in full and submitted with supporting documents. Be sure to include all nominee volunteer activities.
  2. A committee reviews and evaluates all eligible nominations to select the winners. The Heritage Haldimand Advisory Committee also assesses Heritage Haldimand Award nominations.
  3. All nominees will be invited to our Recognition Night in the fall where the winners will be announced.

An award recipient from the previous year is not eligible to be nominated for the same category in the current year. Political and public advocacy work is not eligible for these awards.
