Bridge Structures Load Limit By-law

Being a by-law to restrict vehicle loads on various bridge structures in Haldimand County.

1.  THAT the gross vehicle weight of any vehicle or class thereof passing over the Haldimand County bridge structures identified in Schedule “A”, attached hereto
and forming part of this by-law, shall be limited to the corresponding load identified in the said schedule;

2.  THAT every person causing a vehicle exceeding the load limit identified in Schedule “A” to pass over a corresponding bridge structure identified in said schedule is guilty of an offence and upon conviction is subject to a fine recoverable under the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 33, as amended;

3.  THAT By-law No. 1184/11 of The Corporation of Haldimand County in respect of restrictions to vehicle loads on various bridge structures be hereby repealed;

4.  THAT this by-law shall take precedence over any provision of any by-law with which it is inconsistent;

5.  AND THAT this by-law shall come into force and take full effect from the date of passage thereof.
