Highways
As a centrally-located municipality, Haldimand connects to much of the North American industrial market in just one day. Many of our County roads are also build for high traffic volumes and heavy truck traffic.
Our main connecting roads are:
- Hwy 6 – running north-south through the County and linking it with Hamilton and Ontario’s 400-series highway network.
- Hwy 3 – running east-west through the County and linking it with Buffalo and Detroit.
We also have a rich system of secondary highways, providing quick and easy access to nearby cities including Hamilton, St. Catharines, and Niagara Falls.
- Hwy 403 is a 15-minute drive from the northern tip of Haldimand County and connects to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) highway.
- The 400-series highways provide access to the United States to the east, the Quebec-Windsor Corridor to the west and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to the north.
