Building records and reports
The Building Division maintains records on building and construction activities throughout Haldimand County. Many of these records can be made available to the public on request (fees may apply).
For access to more information not mentioned below or for access to information about a property in which you are not the current owner or have authorization from the current owner, you can submit a Freedom of Information Request with the Clerks Division.
Routine disclosure
Property owners can request certain building records such as surveys, plans, drawings, permits, and engineering reports related to their property directly by submitting a Routine Disclosure for Building Records request.

Zoning Verification and Work Orders
You can submit a request for the verification of zoning and municipal work orders to obtain information regarding the property's zoning designation and permitted uses. If a survey is provided, it will confirm whether the buildings comply with specific development regulations outlined in the zoning by-law.
Completed request forms must be submitted to the Building Division through our online portal.

Building statistics
You can request to view statistical reports on building and demolition permit activity in the County by emailing the Building Division.
