Notice of Construction: Thorburn Street between Talbot St and Joseph St

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION – Hot Mix Asphalt/CIREAM

Haldimand County’s Hot Mix Resurfacing program is underway and work is scheduled to begin on June 26, 2024 on Thorburn Street South from Talbot Street East (Highway 3) to Joseph Street East with the removal of existing asphalt and placement of new asphalt and curb replacements where necessary. The Contractor, GIP Paving Inc., will be mobilizing and setting up signs in the days leading up to these repairs and the project is expected to be completed by mid-July 2024 weather permitting.

Residents can expect delays due to lane closures however there will be no expected road closures. Driveways will be ramped to allow access to homes.
Staff understand that construction may cause temporary headaches to residents and business owners and ask that all affected individuals remain patient. The end goal of all construction work is to enhance our neighborhoods and communities and the County is committed to minimizing disruption by communicating construction information in a timely manner and responding to resident needs/concerns.
